Srikar Chittari

Srikar Chittari is a 9th grade student in Virginia and he started learning Mridangam at the age of 5. He learned from Sri Srinath Balasubramaniam for a year and since then he is learning from Sri Vijay Ganesh. In addition, he gets advanced lessons from Sri Neyveli Narayanan from Chennai.   Srikar has participated in several carnatic music school annual performances and Chamber concerts locally and outside DC metro area. He has also accompanied senior AIR graded vidwans. In 2013 and 2015, he participated in Chennai Music season. He has won prizes in competitions held at Cleveland and Chicago.
