Keerthana Shankar

Keerthana Sankar has been learning vocal music from Sri Madurai R. Sundar, a premiere disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri. T.N Seshagopalan, for the past 11 years. Keerthana started learning violin at the age of six from Sri Jayshankar Balan, and has been undergoing advanced training from Sri Delhi Sunderrajan for the past 6 years. Keerthana regularly performs both vocal and violin concerts in the United States, Canada, and India. During the 2013 December Music Festival in Chennai, Keerthana won the "Best
Violinist of the Season" award for the sub-senior slot at Parthasarathy Swami Sabha. Keerthana graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2015 with a degree in neuroscience, and is currently applying to medical school.
