Geeta Shankar

Geeta Shankar is a 9th grader at Irvington High in Fremont, CA. Born
to a family of music connoisseur, Geeta began learning carnatic vocal
lessons at an early age of 4 and veena lessons at 5. She seeks vocal
lessons from Guru, Sri Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan. Geeta took her
first step to performing on stage at the age of 7 and has been
performing regular concerts here in USA and in India during the
Chennai Music Festival. She regularly accompanies young musicians on
the Veena. As part of the Advanced choir she was selected to represent
her Junior high school at the All State Honor Choir.
