In addition to being an integral part of Brindavani, Samyuktha is an 11th grade student in Virginia, USA by day and an incredibly accomplished and talented ghatam player and musician by night. Although she is young, Samyuktha is an inspiration for all of us with her passion and drive for Carnatic music and her leadership skills.

In this issue of the Brindavani Blog, Samyuktha discusses her inspirations, her future goals, her experiences being a female Carnatic percussionist and balancing Carnatic music with life as an American teenager, her thoughts about Carnatic music in the USA, and her involvement with Brindavani.
